Biographical Information:  Means "pathfinder" in one of the Native dialects. This is appropriate because the vessel mark the winding and ever-changing shipping channel along the Mackenzie River. This is especially challenging because after every year's annual freeze and sudden flood of water, the ice scours the bottom of the river, changing the navigational channel from season to season.
